Restore Alexandria is a faith-based nonprofit that exists to empower neighbors and strengthen communities in the City of Alexandria. We use an asset-based development approach to engage neighbors and abide by the 8 principles of the Christian Community Development Association. Specifically, we focus on community, leadership, and economic development that will lead to healthy, whole, and thriving neighborhoods and families and the spread of the gospel.
RESTORE ALEXANDRIA IS…
Our strategy focuses our efforts on corner-by-corner neighborhood revitalization, involving local youth and adults in decision-making and community action.
Anchored in a Vision of Peace
To us a peaceful and prosperous city means neighborhoods with safe and non-violent streets, healthy relationships, a thriving local economy, and a living and vibrant Christian witness.
Restore Alexandria plays an important role in creating space for neighbors to connect, for our community to work alongside city, state, and national partners, for urban, suburban and rural churches to serve together, and for interested people to connect with God. These are some of the building blocks for a strong community.
